On the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month of 1918 the Armistice bringing the hostilities of the first World War to an end was signed. This war was perhaps the deadliest conflict in human history with over 40 million people being killed or wounded as a direct consequence. A year later the tradition of Remembrance Day was inaugurated with the purpose of remembering and commemorating those who had died in what was often referred to as 'the War to end all Wars'. Whilst Remembrance Day has continued year upon year, the hope that the war would bring an end to all wars has still to be realised. If that hope is ever to be fulfilled it must be planted and nurtured within the hearts of everyone, but most importantly within the hearts of today's children.

This first National Children's Remembrance Concert will, through music, song and drama, remember and pay homage to the sacrifice of all who fought and died in that terrible War. It will also seek to instil anew the hope of an end to all war. To achieve these purposes the concert is bringing together over 2500 children from across England and Wales, each and every one to play an active and vital role within it. Our ambition for these children, and for all those who come to see and hear them, is that the concert will be a memorable experience and that the homage, hope and message of the Concert will remain forever within their hearts.

    Contactless

We are going cashless across all our food and drink kiosks in Forum Live and the kiosks either side of the Arena bowl. Why? Cashless payment means speedier service and less queuing. So, we’re asking folk to ditch the dosh and pay by card. Find out more here.
